Regarding E-filed Tax Returns with Direct Deposit:
Typically, the IRS will process your tax return within 21 Business days (weekends not included). Due to these delays, we are asking all clients to please allow an additional 2-3 week for processing.

Regarding Mailed Returns:
Typically, the IRS asks to allow 4 weeks before checking the status. Refund processing time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date the IRS receives your tax return.
Unfortunately, due to health concerns the IRS HAS STOPPED PROCESSING MAILED RETURNS. There is no word as of yet when the IRS will begin processing paper returns again.

  • You did not file a 2018 or 2019 tax return because your gross income was under $12,200 ($24,400 for married couples)

Qualifying adults will get a check or direct deposits of  $1,200 – or $2,400 for married couples filing jointly.

If you receive Social Security Administration (SSA), the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) or benefits from Veterans Affairs (VA). “The IRS will use the information from your 2019 benefits to generate a Payment to you if you did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019.” You will receive your stimulus payment as a direct deposit or as a check by mail; however you normally receive your federal benefits.
